Ephesians 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
A Comment
God has blessed us in Christ. In Christ, we behold and enjoy blessings that go beyond the constraints of this present world. As one theologian puts it, “While we may be overwhelmed and waylaid by what is mundane or worse, in Christ, we have all spiritual or godly goodness in the heavenly places.” This truth ought to stir us to praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
A Prayer
O’ LORD, thank you for blessing us with every spiritual blessing in Christ. In Christ, heaven has invaded our hearts that we might be strengthened by grace. Stir us to respond in praise this day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
