Hebrews 4:16
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
A Comment
Unlike when the LORD commanded Moses to put limits around those who would attempt to approach the LORD (Exodus 19:23-25), Hebrews reminds us of the grace of God that we possess in Christ, which commands us to approach God with a bold confidence that is rooted in His mercy. We can and should come boldly to the LORD today because His mercy is great and His grace is plentiful.
A Prayer
O’ LORD, forgive us for coming to You with timidity and fear rooted in uncertainty. Christ did not die that we might doubt your loving welcome. Stir us to come to You boldly, making our request known before You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
