A Verse

Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

We are looking at hope again this morning from Isaiah 40. In this well-known passage, we see that it is the LORD who renews our strength. I don’t know about you, but this passage is particularly encouraging to me.

With the LORD as the source of our strength, we can persevere and run the race that has been set before (Hebrews 12:1-2). Yet, it is not in our own strength that we run. It is in the strength that the LORD himself supplies.

This morning, as you prepare to start the day, take a few moments to reflect on how the LORD strengthens you. Think about his grace and mercy, which frees us from condemnation through union with Christ. Think about his love and patience, which sustains us, even when we do not feel it. Think about his kindness, which should lead us to repentance. Think about his power, which is at work in us for his glory and our good.

Take a few moments to slow down this morning and be reminded that if you are in Christ, the LORD is your strength, and be filled with hope that you will have all the grace you need to make it through the day.

A Prayer

Will you pray with me?

A Blessing

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
