Matthew 6:21
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
A Comment
Theologian Henry Scougal once wrote, “The worth and excellency of a soul is to be measured by the object of its love. He who loveth mean and sordid things doth thereby become base and vile, but a noble and well-placed affection doth advance and improve the spirit into a conformity with the perfections which it loves.”
O’ how important it is for our affections to be order and set upon the things that are above, where Christ is seated (Col. 3:1-4).
A Prayer
O’ LORD, since we have been raised with Christ, let our hearts be set on things above, not on earthly things. Grant us to live as those whose lives are now hidden with Christ in God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn His face toward you and give you peace.
